Skills Plan on Station Portal

Members can view their own skills maintenance progress on the Station Portal — the public brigade page accessible from any device. This gives individual members visibility into what they’ve completed and what’s still outstanding, without needing to log in to StationOne.

When Skills Plan visibility is enabled:

  1. A member visits the Station Portal and verifies their identity (via the check-in kiosk PIN or member PIN)
  2. A My Skills Progress card appears on the portal
  3. The card loads the member’s enrolment and completion status for all active plans that are set to show on the portal
  4. The member can see each plan’s overall percentage, deadline, and a breakdown of completed and outstanding skills by topic

Only the verified member can see their own progress — they cannot see other members’ data.


  • The Skills Maintenance module enabled for your organisation
  • A Station Portal configured and enabled for your unit
  • At least one active skills plan with enrolled members

Step 1 — Enable skills plan visibility on the plan

Each plan controls whether it appears on the Station Portal individually.

  1. Open the skills plan
  2. Click Edit
  3. Tick Show progress on station portal
  4. Save

You can enable this on some plans and not others. For example, you might show a general annual competency plan on the portal but keep a sensitive internal assessment plan private.


Step 2 — Enable skills plan on the Station Portal settings

At the unit level, the Station Portal settings include a toggle to allow skills plan data to appear.

  1. Go to Settings → Brigade Settings → Station Portal
  2. Scroll to the Show Skills Plan Progress toggle
  3. Turn it on

When enabled, the portal settings page shows how many active plans are available.


Once both settings are on, verified members visiting the Station Portal see a My Skills Progress card that shows:

  • Each active plan they are enrolled in (that has portal visibility enabled)
  • A percentage completion for the current cycle
  • A progress bar (green when complete, blue when in progress, yellow when low)
  • The plan deadline and days remaining
  • A breakdown by topic showing each skill as:
    • ✓ green — completed in the current cycle
    • Empty — not yet completed

The view is read-only — members cannot sign off their own skills from the portal; that remains an admin function.


The Station Portal requires members to verify their identity before personal data (such as skills progress) is shown. Ensure your portal has verification enabled. See Enabling the Station Portal and Pin Protection.

Making progress visible to members directly encourages self-directed completion. Members can see what’s outstanding before training sessions and request sign-offs for skills they’ve demonstrated.
