Places of Interest
Places of Interest (POIs) allow your brigade to record locations that are operationally significant — such as known security risks, crime target sites, hazardous areas, or other safety concerns — independently of a full pre-plan. They appear alongside pre-plans in the Pre-Plans module and can be pinned on a map.

When to use a POI vs a Pre-Plan
Section titled “When to use a POI vs a Pre-Plan”Use a Place of Interest for locations that don’t warrant a full pre-plan but are still worth recording — transient risks, watch-listed properties, or locations your brigade monitors informally. Use a Pre-Plan for buildings that require detailed operational information such as building dimensions, hazmat records, and service isolation points.
Adding GPS Coordinates
Section titled “Adding GPS Coordinates”If you don’t have coordinates on hand, you can find them using Google Maps:
- Right-click the location on the map
- Select the coordinates shown at the top of the context menu to copy them
- Paste the latitude and longitude into the respective fields
Category Colours
Section titled “Category Colours”Each category displays with a distinct colour badge in the list view, making it easy to scan for specific types of concern at a glance.
