Deployment Templates

If your organisation regularly stands up the same kind of strike team — the same mix of vehicle types every time — a deployment template saves you rebuilding the vehicle requests from scratch each time.

  • Organisation admin, region admin, district admin, or group admin role

A template is just an ST number, a name, and a list of vehicle types with quantities (e.g. “2 Medium Tankers, 1 FCV”). It holds no specific vehicles or crew — those are only ever attached to a real deployment.

  1. Click Crew Builder in the main navigation, then Deployment Templates
  2. Click New Template
  3. Fill in:
    • ST Number — the template’s identifying number
    • Name — a descriptive name
    • Deployment Level (if you manage more than one unit) — which unit this template belongs to
    • Notes (optional)
  4. Add vehicle-type rows: pick an Appliance Type and a Quantity for each type of vehicle the strike team needs. Flag one as the lead vehicle if applicable.
  5. Save the template

From the Deployment Templates list, open a template to edit its details or vehicle-type rows, or delete it if it’s no longer needed.

  1. From the Deployment Templates list, find the template and click Create Deployment
  2. StationOne builds a new draft deployment pre-populated with the template’s vehicle-type slots (no actual vehicles attached yet), and defaults the deployment number to the template’s ST number
  3. You’re taken to the deployment’s edit page — confirm or change the deployment number, resource request number, destination, dates, and shift type
  4. Save, then add actual vehicles and assign crew as normal — see Build Vehicles & Assign Crew
