Pre-Plans on the Station Portal

Active pre-plans are automatically published to your Station Portal, giving crew members quick access to site information in the field without needing to log in. This guide explains what’s shown publicly and how to access sensitive details securely.

The Station Portal displays pre-plan information that is safe for general viewing:

The public pre-plans page shows a grid of cards, each displaying:

  • Company name
  • Type of premises
  • Site address
  • Hazard count (with a warning indicator if hazardous materials are present)
  • Origin unit badge for shared pre-plans

Clicking a pre-plan card shows the full detail view:

  • Site information — Address, phone, type of premises, occupancy, hours of operation
  • Building information — Dimensions, construction materials, assembly areas
  • Interactive map — Satellite view with all annotations and a legend
  • Hazardous materials — Table showing UN number, name, class, packing group, quantity, and storage location
  • Site photos — Image gallery
  • Documents and plans — Downloadable floor plans and fire service plans with file sizes
  • Service isolation points — Electricity, gas, water, and solar shutoff locations
  • Additional comments

The following sensitive information is not shown on the public page:

  • Alarm codes
  • Key details (whether keys are held, key numbers)
  • Emergency contact names, phone numbers, and email addresses

A banner on the public page explains that sensitive information is not displayed and directs users to the email report feature.

To access the complete pre-plan including sensitive data:

  1. Open the pre-plan on the Station Portal

  3. Select a brigade member from the dropdown
  4. Click Send
  5. The selected member receives an email with a secure, time-limited link
  6. The link provides full access including alarm codes, key details, and contact information
  • The emailed link is time-limited and expires after use
  • Full access requires email verification via a one-time code
  • Only registered brigade members can receive the report email
  • All access is logged

The Station Portal is designed for use on mobile devices at incident scenes. Pre-plan cards are responsive and the interactive map works on touch screens.

Pre-plans shared from other units also appear on your Station Portal, marked with the originating unit’s name. This gives your crews visibility of sites managed by neighbouring brigades.

Pre-plans only appear on the public page when their status is Active. Draft and archived pre-plans are not shown. Ensure your annual reviews are up to date so crews always have accurate information.
