Rotations & PDF Exports

A deployment that runs across multiple shifts — for example a multi-day strike team where the crew changes over each shift — can be split into rotations. This guide covers creating rotations and exporting a deployment as a PDF.

  • Organisation admin, region admin, district admin, or group admin role
  1. Open the deployment
  2. Click Actions → New Rotation (or, if the deployment already has rotations, click + New Rotation next to the rotation tabs at the top of the page)
  3. Adjust the Shift Type, Departure/Return times, and Notes for the new rotation if they differ from the original
  4. Save

StationOne creates a new linked deployment — the next rotation — and clones across the same vehicles, but not the crew. Each rotation needs its own crew assigned and approved from scratch, since the people on shift change even when the vehicles don’t.

The first time you spawn a rotation, the original deployment is automatically labelled R1 and the new one R2, and so on for each further rotation.

Once a deployment has rotations, tabs appear across the top of its page — one per rotation, labelled R1, R2, etc., each showing its shift type. Click a tab to switch to that rotation’s page. The currently viewed rotation is highlighted.

From the deployment’s Actions menu:

Click Export PDF to download a PDF summarising the deployment — its vehicles, crew assignments, and their approval status.

  1. Click Email PDF
  2. Enter the Recipient Email
  3. Optionally add a Message
  4. Click Send Email

The PDF is generated and emailed in the background; you don’t need to wait on the page.
