Brigade Activities
Brigade Activities is a lightweight register for capturing member participation that falls outside formal events and training sessions. Use it to track things like committee meetings, peer support conversations, admin work, community safety activities, and site visits. These records feed directly into member activity reports and engagement scoring.

Logging Activities as an Admin
Section titled “Logging Activities as an Admin”Navigate to the Activity Register
Section titled “Navigate to the Activity Register”- Log in to StationOne and select your brigade
- Click Brigade Activities in the left sidebar (under Members)
Log a New Activity
Section titled “Log a New Activity”- Click Log Activity in the top-right corner
- Fill in the form:

| Title | A short description of the activity (e.g. “Monthly committee meeting”) |
| Date | The date the activity took place |
| Duration (minutes) | How long it ran — defaults to 60 minutes |

| Private | When checked, activity details are hidden from reports but the activity still counts toward engagement |
- Click Save Activity
Edit an Activity
Section titled “Edit an Activity”Click the pencil icon on any row in the activity register. An edit modal will open pre-filled with the existing details — update what you need and click Save Activity.
Delete an Activity
Section titled “Delete an Activity”Click the trash icon on any row and confirm the deletion.
Filter the Register
Section titled “Filter the Register”Use the filter controls at the top of the register to narrow the list:
- Date range — Last 30 days, 90 days, 12 months, this month, this year, or last year
- Member — Filter to a specific member’s activities
Logging Activities via the Station Portal
Section titled “Logging Activities via the Station Portal”Members without a StationOne login can log their own activities through the brigade’s public attendance page. This is useful for members who attend meetings or do admin work but don’t have (or need) a full account.
How Members Access It
Section titled “How Members Access It”- Open the brigade’s public page link (shared by your admin, or saved to your home screen)
- On the attendance page, select “Log other activity” from the activity type options
- Select your name from the member list
- Fill in the activity details:
- Activity Type — select the type that best fits
- Title — brief description
- Date — defaults to today
- Duration — how long the activity took
- Notes — optional
- Private — tick if you’d prefer the details not appear in shared reports
- Submit — the activity is saved instantly and appears in the admin register
How Activities Appear in Reports
Section titled “How Activities Appear in Reports”Brigade activities feed into the Member Activity Reports (found under Reporting in the sidebar):
- Activity count — total number of logged activities per member in the selected date range
- Activity hours — total hours calculated from duration
- Engagement score — each activity contributes 1.5 points to a member’s engagement score
- Monthly trends — the per-member detail view shows a breakdown of brigade activities by month
Private activities are counted in all totals but their title and notes are not displayed to other members.
Activity Types

| Other | Anything that doesn’t fit the above categories |
Custom Activity Types
Section titled “Custom Activity Types”Brigades can add their own activity types to suit local workflows — for example “Debrief”, “Fundraising”, or “Recruitment”. Custom types appear alongside the built-in types in all activity log forms, including the admin register, the public attendance page, and the kiosk.
To manage custom activity types:
- Go to Brigade Settings (gear icon in the sidebar, or navigate to
/brigade/settings) - Find the Brigade Activities module card
- Under Custom Activity Types, type a name and click Add
You can edit or delete custom types from the same section. Deleting a type does not affect activities already logged with it — those records are preserved.
